About
I’m Holly, a qualified animal behaviourist and the founder of Coast to Coast Animal Behaviour. Holding a first-class honours BSc (Hons) degree in animal behaviour, I provide evidence-based behaviour support grounded in current scientific understanding, with animal welfare at the centre of all my work.
Inspired by the balance and resilience found along the coast and countryside, Coast to Coast Animal Behaviour takes a thoughtful, compassionate approach to understanding behaviour within the context of an animal’s environment, learning history, and emotional well-being. I work collaboratively with owners and veterinary professionals to support sustainable behavioural change by prioritising clear communication, ethical practices, and realistic outcomes.
I am committed to continued professional development and reflective practice, ensuring that all advice and interventions are informed by up-to-date research and best practice. Services are tailored to each individual animal, with a focus on improving quality of life for both animals and their people.

My Story
I grew up in a countryside cottage where we had four characterful basset hounds and a variety of rescued small pets; you'd often find us walking a ferret through a field, carrying a chicken around on our shoulders or raising orphan ducklings in the house. It's no surprise this sparked a lifelong love of all animals. This background inspired me to pursue extensive studies in animal behaviour, work as an animal care assistant for a charity that specialises in therapy for children and young adults, and start a dog-sitting and walking business in 2022 before taking maternity leave to raise two adventurous daughters.
With a strong interest in animal behaviour and its complex relationship with humans, it wasn't enough to settle for less than I could possibly achieve. I wanted to understand the complexities of why animals behave the way they do psychologically and how I can support animals and their owners in forming a harmonious relationship by addressing behavioural challenges that may be affecting both owners and their companions.
This led to my university studies, where I spent four years studying two separate degrees while being taught by some of the best teachers in animal behaviour. Now I'm bringing this knowledge and practice to the South West to help other pet owners strengthen their relationships with their animals so that both can thrive together.
